Skyware Systems has the ability to allow multiple currencies to be accepted at your Property. The Currency Codes screen enables you to enter and set up the types of currencies accepted by your Property, as well as designating the default Property currency. By default, (if no currencies have been entered), Skyware assumes the currency used will be (American) Dollars. If any other currencies are to be accepted, you must enter them here.
Note: The Currency Codes screen is used in conjunction with the Currency Management screen. While the Currency Codes configuration area identifies the TYPES of currencies accepted, the exchange rates are managed using the Currency Management screen. the Currency Management screen enables you to enter the current currency exchange rates, allowing you to view or update the rate as compared to the system's default currency.
Rates can be changed on a daily basis. IF you have set up multiple currencies as acceptable using the Currency Codes screen, when posting to a folio you are able to post in different currencies, but they will always be converted to the Property's default currency. The statement reflects both the property's default currency and the folio's currency.
This is part of the OPTIONAL configuration for Skyware Systems. You may edit the configuration to suit your Property at any time if you have the appropriate access/authorization.
